As students progress through the years, the type of writing they do and learn changes and becomes more detailed. Students are indivduals who are learning how to influence the world around them. They do this by using persuasive essays to convince their readers to see things from a new persepctive. These essays could include social issues or promoting a product or service. These students learn the right words to use to make persuasive righting change the world. However, the world has already started a change into the digital era.  This new generation relies heavily on digital formats when in the classroom. Students now use Chromebooks to take tests, write essays, and make presentations. The world around us has become interconnected through the digital world like no one has seen before.  Technology has taken the world by storm. With Box Lights and Chromebooks, the education system has changed drastically throughout the years. These changes have been able to provide wonders to all ages of students in the education system. These changes for some are seen as bad, however, the possibilities are endless when providing students with Chromebooks throughout their education career.  No good thing comes without consequences. Chromebooks can become a distraction to the users and those around them. Students are also able to get on whatever website they are allowed to on the wifi provided. This can cause problems with students going on game websites and then doing the assignments they are supposed to be doing. Secondly, technology can be very unreliable. With the internet going down, or Chromebooks not charging properly, teachers are not able to use Chromebooks as often as they can. With apps like Facebook, Instagram, and Tik Tok becoming more popular after COVID, social media is taking the world by storm. Social Media helps the world connect from all over the globe.  This is stated in Rheingold's book  Net Smart: How to Thrive Online . Part of this book goes into detail about how using media can actually help us. It goes in detail on how people can use social media wisely.
